I went on my first over-nighter with my mom and sis for our annual "Seattle Shopping Trip." I ended up coming down with the worst cold, but didn't let that stop me. Daddy watched Sophia and they did great! Daddy didn't understand why I was nervous and anxious to leave my baby girl. Not that I don't trust him as a father, hes the best! It was ME. I'm with her 24 hours a day and have never been a part from her for more than 6 hours. I think it was a blessing in disguise that I got sick, because I just thought about feeling sorry for myself instead of worrying about missing my girl :) Plus, Daddy sent me pictures all weekend of them having fun! This is a picture he sent me Sunday morning. They went on a fall walk--of course he put her baby "J's on. (Jordans)
Went to Lattins Pumpkin Patch with Nana, Papa and Auntie JuJu (Taryn). This is one of my favorite parts of being a mom :) All the traditions! Sophia rode in the wagon with the pumpkins and we fed the goats and chickens.
She totally understands the big girl potty.....maybe we will start training her soon :) In these pics, she brought her potty out into the living room, tore off her diaper, sat on the pot and made grunting noises and said "poop." No poop though....at least she gets the idea.
On Monday, Sophia had her 18 month check up. I can't tell you how grateful I am that we have Dr. Jennifer Ash as our Pediatrician! She is so great! (FYI--she is accepting a few new "newborns/pregnant mama's only." Other than that, she is booked solid!
What the Doc said:
-24 pounds (up 2.5 pounds since 12 month check up)
-Grew 3 inches since 12 months
-Healthiest baby girl ever!
-Her developmental skills are that of a 2 year old (smart girl!)
Of course I feel great after hearing all of that :)
